About meI took up translation around 1981 during my studies at the Technical University of Berlin and stayed by it ever since. I went freelancing about 6 years back. I suport a small group of translators in spanish, french, italian, english and of course German as well. Other areas of specialization are automotive, aeronautics, natural sciences, physics and scientific material in general. My small team of collaborators and I can also offer programming, web design, software and hardware descriptions, application development and database design services.I use CAT tools (Trados, Fusion, SDLX among others) and develop TMs to optimize the translation process. Additionally, I handle the required DTP work such as full offset design, page and book/manual layout, as per client requirements for an agreed extra charge. Top quality work and timely deliveries.
Background:
I did full time translation and simultaneous interpretation for Siemens, in the area of Traffic information systems; smart ticketing for Daisy in Berliner Traffic Union; orthopaedic tech.transfer for Johnson & Johnsons, Hewlett Packard, Texas Instruments, Detroit Automobile; Tooldev.labs and other regional translations for VW, Mercedes and the Technical University of Berlin for almost 8 years (academic, research and scientific documentation).
